Orange County United Way has unveiled an ambitious plan named UNITED4OC 2030, setting the stage for a transformative journey over the next five years. This strategic vision seeks to harness the collective power of individuals, businesses, and community leaders to address the most pressing challenges facing Orange County. At the core of this initiative is a commitment to cultivating a stronger workforce, a healthier economy, and improved well-being for every resident of Orange County.

Creating Moments of Impact

The heart of UNITED4OC 2030 beats with an audacious goal: to create 4 million moments of impact by 2030. Each moment, whether it involves attending an educational event, making a financial contribution, volunteering time, or mentoring a student, is a stepping stone towards building a more resilient community. Lawrence R. Armstrong, Board Chair of Orange County United Way, emphasizes the importance of collective action in shaping a brighter future for all. A Community-Wide Mobilization

To ignite this movement, nearly 500 community members participated in family-friendly two-mile walks across all 34 cities of Orange County on September 6. This event symbolized the unity and determination of Orange County to achieve the goals set forth by UNITED4OC 2030. Among the participants were Orange County United Way executives and staff, local elected officials, and community members, all coming together to demonstrate their commitment to the cause.

Through its key service pillars—United for Student Success, United for Financial Security, United to End Homelessness, and 211OC—Orange County United Way aims to provide holistic support and empowerment. These initiatives are designed to equip underserved youth with adaptable skills for thriving in college and growing industries, empower families towards long-term economic stability, address the root causes of homelessness, and connect individuals to crucial services for a healthier, more stable future.
